David Leviadin, MD, FIPA

With a passion for eastern philosophy and spirituality, and training as a board certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with more than fifteen years of experience in direct patient care, teaching and supervision, Dr. Leviadin is uniquely qualified to lead and shape the culture of the institute.  He participates in all aspects of our work, including patient care, supervision, teaching and research. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Leviadin participates in continuing medical education (CME) programs for physicians and lectures at various hospitals and community organizations on topics related to mental health and wellness. He also remains active in training psychiatry residents at UCLA; where as an Assistant Clinical Professor he teaches courses on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and conducts a weekly supervisory seminar.

After completion of his medical education at the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Leviadin trained as a biological psychiatrist at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute where he subsequently served as the chief resident of the Consultation & Liaison program. Alongside his private practice in Beverly Hills, he supervised residents in the UCLA Anxiety Disorders Clinic and served as a staff psychiatrist at Century City Hospital and Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he cared for adult and geriatric patients in the inpatient and intensive outpatient settings.

Dr. Leviadin has received additional training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Institute and completed his analytic training at the New Center for Psychoanalysis, where he is currently teaching a course in Neuroscience & Psychoanalysis. He has also served as an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and has been designated as a Fellow
of the International Psychoanalytic Association.
